$200 shoes should NOT hurt your feet

Dear Mr. Edelman,

I received a super fab birthday present from my honey which were a pair of your infamous "Lorissa" pumps with the BLACK spikes.  The shoes are definitely "TDF!" (To Die For) but I didn't mean that in the literal sense.  I wore them last night for the honey's big 3-Oh! bash.  I purchased the Dr. Scholl pads to give me a little cushion but after two hours of being a hostess - my feet were calling me all types of names. I believe firmly in no matter how much my feet hurt - I refuse to be that girl walking around BAREFOOT!

Then I thought to myself if they say "You get what you pair for" why don't my $20 shoes from Forever 21, Charlotte Russe or my $90 shoes from Bakers and Aldo hurt my feet the way these shoes did.  I mean they hurt so bad I am still limping and I am preparing to soak my feet in epson salt.  I am truly disturbed by this.  Don't get me wrong - it won't stop me from wearing these conversation starters I will just make sure they are for dinner dates and not club hopping.

Sincerely,
You need more cushion and a platform wouldn't hurt either :)

  1. I totally agree!!! Have the same shoes..got them as a Valentine's day gift and worn them once and only once! I love them dearly but my feet feel differently.....It's unfortunate....a platform is very necessary with such a high heel.

  9. thats unfortunate. sam edelman usually makes comfortable shoes. I had a pair of shoes from steve madden that hurt my feet so much i called the customer service line and asked for a refund because the shoes were killing my feet, the woman said im sorry we dont issue refunds for that lol.

  10. @likeitsgolden I wish they did offer refunds for that. I cringe just at the thought of wearing them again :(

  12. I hate when that happens. That's why I actually spend time in the shoe store walking around to see if they give me the slightest pinch. CAn you take them back?

  13. @Soft Spoken, thank you so much and I feel your pain. They make me smile at first sight then the thought of the intense pain sets in and I run for the hills!!!

@alissa, I walked around in them for quite some time because I had to decide if I was going to pay that money for them. But walking on carpet is WAY different then walking on a deck all night. Those babies are so scuffed up they would call security if I tried to return them :(

  14. Oh noooo! I have the leopard pair of the infamous Lorissa pumps and and the only pain I experienced was around the sole of my feet. I quickly alleviated that pain with some Dr. Scholl's gelling inserts. And trust....no matter if you purchase $500 shoes or $20 shoes, it really doesn't matter if the heel height isn't compensated by an appreciable platform.
